Ho, ho, ho - it's that time of the year again - the Westie with Santa event was on!

Another beautiful day in fall made it difficult for Rudolph and his peers to get Santa and Mrs. Claus to the doggy day care in Burnaby for the Westie with Santa event on 23 November 2013. However, once arrived, they went into full swing to pose with the little white dogs. Some of the images may look like Santa just shared some cookies with them but he swears he did not. And Santa does not lie....

Westie Rescue of Canada organized a great event with Silent Auction, fun games, raffles, door prizes and a photo shoot with Santa and Mrs. Claus. They raised valuable funds to support the vet bills for some of their new rescues. Often West Highland White Terriers suffer from skin issues brought forward by feeding highly processed food. Once Westie Rescue of Canada takes on these little dogs, they care for them and cover the vet bills and arrange for foster homes until the dogs can be adopted out.

If you've ever had a West Highland White Terrier, you know that these are dogs with personality. So seeing about 50 of them milling around at the Doggy Day Care was great fun.

And, as last year, photographing Santa and Mrs. Claus with the little white dogs was a true pleasure.

Have a look at the gallery on my website to catch some of the spirit.
